While trained and experienced in a number of styles, her teaching is rooted in a deep personal exploration of the Ashtanga Vinyasa system. The physical practices of yoga are a gateway, not an end in themselves. An individual's journey inward must ultimately lead back outward, to engagement with the community. This growing realization has inspired her to deepen her commitment to development projects, both locally and abroad.

Nicole Mahabir is an Ayurvedic Therapist and Educator who teaches workshops on various aspects of Ayurveda, Ayurvedic Yoga and Energy Medicine. Her education includes extensive studies in Marma Therapy, Ayurveda, Ayu-Yog and Energy Medicine. The path of Yoga is a spiritual process of internalization and knowing the Self. It is a guide toward understanding our true nature, so that we may fully embrace our human potential, and embody all that we are. Nicole brings the practice of Yoga to life, through teaching, healing and counseling.

Tula yoga teacher training

I really enjoyed the teacher training program at Tula since it made me more aware of my body and how the postures in class will benefit me. The training program has encouraged me to become more physically fit due to yoga attendance requirements 3 X a week. I find I have developed a healthier perspective on life and am more receptive to what my body and mind need. I also feel more confident in helping others since I know how to do the postures correctly, I also know how to do adjustments. I strongly recommend joining this teacher training program if you are health-oriented and willing to help others. It also encourages more self-awareness and spiritual growth to help balance life, which is really important in this fast paced environment.
