Yoga Classes TorontoHot Hatha Yoga Classes
Hot Hatha Yoga is a challenging series of hot yoga postures and breathing exercises conducted in a heated room to systematically warm, stretch and strengthen the major muscle groups. It works the body from the inside out, from the micro to the macro level. All internal organs and glands are stimulated, balancing the body’s natural chemical and hormonal levels. Much attention is given to the spine and this produces a profoundly beneficial effect on the nervous system. The heated environment reduces risk of injury and facilitates the release of bodily toxins.

Hot Hatha Flow Yoga Classes
Hot Hatha Flow Yoga is similiar to Hot Hatha but is not a set sequence. Incorporates some of the Hatha sequence with more movement and Vinyasa Yoga inbetween. A rejuvenating class with a calm flow.

Hot Power Flow Yoga Classes
Hot Power Flow Yoga is a warm, flowing meditative class harmonizing breath with movement and cultivating strength, agility and flexibility. The practice builds physical co-ordination and mental focus, taking students to new levels of fitness. It works the entire body, with an emphasis on upper body strength. Both Hot Hatha and Hot Power Flow are suitable for beginners and those practicing on an advanced level.

Hatha Yoga Classes
Quite simply Hatha Yoga means yoga of the physical body. It is the material yoga for tuning the body with the soul. This is yoga in the more traditional sense, promoting balance, precision and flexibility.

  • Hatha Level 1:
Suitable for the beginner and intermediate student who prefer a gentle and thoroughly relaxing class.
  • Hatha Level 1-2:
Builds on the Hatha Level 1 class. Students are encouraged to gently explore more challenging postures and variations.

Vinyasa Flow Yoga Classes
Vinyasa Yoga is a class that builds strength and stamina. It is a flowing asana practice that emphasizes a sequence of movements synchronized with breath and eye focus. The fast-paced flowing vinyasas aim to purify the mind and body.

Kundalini Yoga Classes
The Kundalini is untapped energy (prana) at the base of the spine that can be drawn up through the body awakening each of the seven chakras. Each Kundalini Yoga asana series is done in conjunction with a specific breath that intensifies the effects of the poses with the purpose of freeing energy in the lower body and allowing it to move upwards. Kundalini sequences (called kriyas) may consist of rapid, repetitive movements done with breath or holding a pose while breathing in a particular way.

Yin Yoga
Yin Yoga is a very distinct style of Yoga similar to Hatha yoga that stretches the connective tissue (joints) rather than conditioning the muscles, the latter being the aim of most other styles of Yoga, particularly more Yang styles. Yin Yoga a very slow Yoga class which holds yoga postures for a minimum of 2 or 3 minutes. This class focuses on deep stretching, stress release and calmness of the mind. Yin Yoga is helpful to alleviate acute and chronic pain throughout the body, specifically in the joints. This an open level class, suitable for abilities and ages.

We also offer Hot Yin for a deeper stretch whilst releasing toxins, and also Warm Yin for a milder experience.

Gentle Hatha
Gentle Hatha Yoga is a slower Hatha Yoga class with emphasis on deep stretching and body awareness.
